love the editing! super underrated

Thank you!! I loved the game too!!

can i know what piano music you edited in when Nick was screaming? it’s a really soothing melody!

I don't remember the exact site I downloaded it from, but I have the link if that works. It's called "Horror Long Version"

!!!!!!!!!SPOILERS!!!!!!!!

Wait, I don't really get it. Did they use Nick's mind/soul to create the AI of the animatronics or only used his mind to "sync" all the other future animatronics to work properly in the future, which caused his soul to inhabit some of the (perhaps even every) animatronics? Does that "I'm in heaven" in the end mean that Nick's soul eventually accepted his place as an entertainer, bringing happiness to families all over the world, since this is what he secretly wanted all along?

some things remain vague such as the future of the company, its goals, or Nick’s aspirations due to the jam restrictions that i’m not really able to provide a solid answer. but i will say, i like your excellent interpretation of the I’m in heaven line!

maybe it is true how being an entertainer is what he genuinely enjoyed doing as a living- perhaps until his wife exited his life. perhaps he thought to shift to a completely different career path after that, hoping to leave his Gozo identity behind for better opportunities.

or it could also be that after being taken apart through severe dismemberment and with only slight remnants of himself left that was mounted onto the vessel, his aspirations as an entertainment have been permanently skewed. maybe this is what he was meant to do, forever.

apologies if this didn’t make sense (english ios not my first language !) but i hope it is a satisfactory reply!

It's alright, your reply is beyond satisfactory! I'm glad I was able to enjoy your cool and creepy game and to interpret it somewhat correctly.

Very Creepy!! Awesome work

(+1)

Awesome concept and a great transition from "normal" to "not normal". Great game, nice job!

(+1)

This was definitely interesting. Like it at some point it derailed from testing a robot to revealing the truth. Made a video on it.

(+1)

I really enjoyed the atmosphere, the voice-acting and the plot twist of the story. Good job.

I think I'm going crazy... I DON'T SEE ANY DOWNLOAD SECTION. HELP!

MY BAD IT SHOULD BE UP NOW LMAO

This is very insteresting horror game with a awesome atmosphere and voice lines.

(+1)

Simple mechanics, a terrifying and well-narrated story, a charismatic character, a sublime music track, a creepy atmosphere, and a great vocal performance. This is what makes a game a masterpiece. Of course, this is it. 10/10.

(+3)

How can I delete the save to play the game again?

hello! i have updated the build now. you should be able to replay the game from the start with no problem :) please ensure you delete any existing files and folders of the game before downloading and reinstalling again

I LOVE analog horror games and this has become one of my faves! The voice acting was AMAZING and the story surprised me and made me so SAD! Excellent job making this game team! I hope we can get another game like this!  Perhaps a continuation of this story?
(+1)

Horrifying, dark, creepy and very well made. I love it 10/10

(+1)

I really enjoyed this game, great voice-acting and creepy story, good work :)

(+1)

Disturbing horror game.

(+1)

This was a great experience! It was spooky and unsettling and the tension kept growing as you figure out what's happening. I was waiting for a huge jump scare but it was still amazing! I recommend!

(+2)

It's good horror. It takes pretty much no time at giving you reason to feel endangered, and the feeling of dreed keep only growing while each second passing and one begin to get's the idea what exacly is happening.

The only things that keeps it from being in my opinion perfect expierience is limitation (Kind vague questions to player and complete lack of player interaction.) that was set by jam this game was submmitted to. As after playing I was left with lack of closure, like the story stoped as it was pretty much as it started.

So I conclusion it's good short horror. Sure is creepy and all, but really feels more like a demo or set up to something bigger than stand alone title.

(+1)

Has best singing voice may I say

(+1)

Oh, what an interesting entry for O2A2! I've never played a VN nail down that exactly the analog horror vibe, and this one did so skillfully! The video tape vibe was amazingly rendered, and the use of the one sprite rule really helped with setting a horror experience! The plot was interesting to uncover, the voice acting was nothing short of excellent (and goodness, the variery of voices!), I genuinely love the music track used! Also, the prototype looked amazingly scary, and was even more amazingly rendered!!!

Side-note: it was really fun not to know if the prototype was supposed to look on its left or on my left! The confusion really made me think before deciding if the situation was normal or not, and it added to the horror I think!

Congrats on the team for a very well-executed entry!

(+1)

thank you for your wonderful comment, chimeriquement!! i’ll have to patch that lil oopsie on the left and right soon, but i’m happy to know it added to the fright haha. thank you again! 🥰

(+1)

creepy
(+2)

Very cool. Awesome atmosphere and visual style. Recommended!! <3

(+1)

You should really specify in the questions if you are referring to the Robot's left or right or the player's left or right. Right now all of those questions could be interpreted either way as there is no clarification.

(+1)

agreed, i’ll be uploading a new build real soon to reflect these changes! thanks for your comment :D

(+2)

I love him so much. ;;w;;

(1 edit) (+1)

holy smokes, actually really good , atmosphere was build well and i was really expecting to get jumpscared only to be suprised there wasn't any big loud noises ( fortunately ) and the story legit got me attached like poor guy ,lost his wife and now he can't see his son ever again .

i played while streaming it to a friend on discord , really fun !

while i feel like it might not happen ,i do like to see a continuation of this , but of course it's your choice !

(+2)

This concept, while simple, is executed so masterfully, especially with the limitations in mind.I could only imagine what the game would look like without the conditions of the jam, but at the same time the simplicity is also a strength, like a powerful jab. Brief, but strong and (if you're a masochist) leaves you wanting more.

(+1)

why does he look so..... uncanny

(+2)

Very creepy gameplay, and the background story behind it was super unsettling. Well done at making me creeped out.

(+1)

Very interesting story you told here and it even mad me a bit nervous for a jumpscare. Good job setting the atmosphere. Keep it up.

Here's my channel for other games I have played. https://www.youtube.com/@Levont

(+2)

This was such an amazing game, it left me wanting more lol. i wish there was a 2nd one!!!

(+2)

a 2nd one? hehe… :)

(+1)

I'm not going to lie when I downloaded the game I didn't expect much from it but I have to admit I really liked the game and I really didn't expect the ending I am really looking forward for your next game

Heres my walktrough

thank you for playing my game!! i enjoyed watching your cursor bounce in contemplation during the freaky parts, haha!

(+3)

THIS WAS SO FREAKY!!! But truly in the best way! At first, I was anticipating something, sort of like that anxiety you get watching FNAF. My anxiety turned to fear which turned to sadness once I realised.

Amazing game! And amazing VA work truly!! I loved this, so freaky, so good!

(+2)

WOOHOO!! thank you playing my game, night!! 🥰🫶

(+3)

THIS IS A TERRIFYING EXPERIENCE. I LOVE IT.

im not a big fan of horror games, at least playing them myself. but this was definitely worth the play!!!! i was immersed through out the entire game, and couldn't look away from the screen no matter how scared i got. even though i was so close to switching tabs everytime the screen flipped to the sprite T-T even with so many restrictions, the team did amazingly!!!!! BIG APPLAUSE TO THE GUYS!!!!! USER RAINSLICES NEVER FAILS

(+1)

thank you so much for playing my game, gamer!!! 🙆‍♂️💚‼‼‼

(+1)

THIS WAS AMAZING!

I have to admit despite my love for horror games I am, in fact, a baby so I did play this game in windowed mode to somewhat hide from any jumpscares that might come my way LOL.
I really loved the tension you built from the breaks in between. The overall story and pacing was immaculate and the visuals are so so so impressive!

Really polished game & very smart usage of the restrictions given by O2A2 :)

The voice acting was really great as well!

-- mild spoilers? --

I was actually thinking of the IBM 7094 Daisy Bell before the song showed up in-game so I was delighted to hear it hahaha

(+2)

i have Seven to thank for the stellar voice acting ^___^ im glad to hear the prototype gave you a lil fright hehe!!

(+3)

A fun and [NORMAL] time. It lulls you in with the monotony but gives you droplets of spooks. Production value surprisingly high the voice acting was great and the vintage songs :))) Great work. Job market looking surprisingly nice these days.

(+1)

i am glad you enjoyed having a very NORMAL time playing my very NORMAL game!!!! here, have a NORMAL sticker ⭐
